While real estate is enduring the chill of winter I’m busy with adding more services to my Real Estate Photography for Metro Detroit. A couple weeks ago I took my recurrent test for my FAA Part 107 remote pilot certification to use my drone commercially. It had been two years since my first test so it was time to re-test to stay current. This year they are moving to on-line recurrent training and no longer requiring in-person recurrent testing but the new standards are not in place and so that I did not have any lapse in certification I needed to take the in-person test. So I studied and I scheduled my test at DCT Aviation near the Waterford airport. Whew! Testing still makes me nervous and the test wasn’t as easy as I thought I still tested fine and renewed my certification. Even though the test covers a lot more than I’ve ever had to use it is nice to know that content. Airspace is pretty cool to learn about.

Floor Plans
In addition to offering 360° Virtual Tours I now offer Floor Plans. These floor plans can also be joined into the hosted 360° Virtual Tours that I offer. The combination of the virtual tour and the floor plans will be great so much valuable information to buyers. Sellers will love having this information out there, helping to sell their property even faster.
My hosted 360° Virtual Tours are hosted with with a company that is one of only three that Realtor.com has now partnered with so the virtual tours are now linked right on those listings (shown below), as well as on Zillow.com and the MLS listing. With Zillow home listings with a virtual tour get a red “3D Home” banner instead of just a read dot on the map.

Whew! It’s been a wild few months in Real Estate photography in Metro Detroit Michigan! Who would have known when real estate was allowed to have in-person showings again in May 2020 that the market would go gang-busters for months! Just in time for real estate to re-open I had purchased a 360° Camera and a subscription for hosting 360° Virtual Tours. I was up and ready to go, offering that service to my clients as of May 7th. These 360° Virtual Tours have been a great offering to my clients to add another benefit to their sellers. These tours are also featured on Zillow and receive views often in the hundreds. The homes with 360° Virtual Tours appear on the map with a red 3D Tour banner instead of just a red dot, which brings even more attention to the real estate listings. Realtors are seeing results from professional real estate photography metro Detroit Michigan. More viewers for your listings means more showings and more competition among purchase offers. It’s a great value added offering for low volume to high volume realtors alike. Realtors should show each and every client that they are valued and represented to the best of each realtor, whether they are listing a small home or a large estate. Zillow Certified Real Estate Photographer
I recently became a Zillow Certified Real Estate Photographer. Zillow states the following about their service and being a Zillow Certified Real Estate Photographer
“Being Zillow Certified means that a photographer has passed a quality check on their past real estate work. It also means that a photographer is proficient with media types supported and rewarded on Zillow.com to maximize the visibility of their client’s listings on Zillow (and other real estate websites that utilize the MLS). Virtual tours were the most demanded media item by Zillow users in 2019, thus Zillow gives listings with Zillow 3D tours increased visibility in Zillow search results. Since May 2019, homes with Zillow 3D tours have sold 10% faster on average and are 22% more likely to sell in 30 days or less than homes without 3D tours!”
