Cap and Gown Photo Session Fun!
Graduation day is often a whirlwind of long speeches, tight schedules, and crowded ceremonies. While the official stage walk is the main event, a dedicated Cap and Gown portrait session is your chance to slow down, have fun, and truly celebrate your achievement without the stress of a ticking clock.
Western Michigan University’s Miller Hall and Fountain
It’s fun to choose a picturesque spot in town or your favorite place on campus for you cap and gown photo session. For Kyra that special place is the home of the Fine Arts, from Dalton to Miller and the awesome fountain in between.

Then we were off to “The Tree” and Sangren Hall and the new arch and extended walking area, where the last bit of road into campus was replaced with more walking space, shaded tables, garden and marked by the new, stately arch that welcomes you to this beautiful campus of Western Michigan University.

Ready to celebrate your high school or college graduation! Indulge in a proper send-off and have a ton of fun!
Show Off Your Personality!
Your graduation photos shouldn’t feel like a passport office appointment. This is the time to let your personality shine through your regalia.
-
The Decorated Cap: Your mortarboard is a blank canvas. Whether it’s a quote that got you through finals, a shout-out to your parents, or a bit of humor about finally being “done,” make sure the camera catches those details.
-
The “Under-the-Gown” Reveal: Wear something that makes you feel confident. Whether it’s a sharp suit, a favorite sundress, or even a t-shirt representing your next step (like a future employer or grad school), these “reveal” shots are always a hit.
-
Hobby Highlights: Do you play an instrument? Are you a dedicated athlete? Bring a prop that represents your time in school to create a more narrative-driven photo.
